My name is Zohnette C. Sligh and I am an avid fiber artist who enjoys transforming simple yarn into gorgeous designs. I started crocheting at the age of 18 and stopped for many years. Almost 20 years later, I decided to pick up my hook again and began crocheting. My love for crochet has afforded me many opportunities to enhance my creativity while exploring varied textures, colors, and design patterns for styles of yearn. I have enjoyed the pleasure of meeting a myriad of people around the world, and been fortunate to inspire, encourage, and touch lives in an impactful way. I am on a mission to make others feel valued, beautiful, and loved. 

 

I am a wife of 24 years and a mother of three wonderful children. They have been extremely supportive in helping me achieve all of my dreams in the fiber community. As you visit this site, it is my hope that you not only find something that you love, but also feel the love and passion behind each design. Walking in purpose is never an easy road, particularly when you discover that some roads are paved for you to venture alone, and as a journey of growth. For many years I thrived working together with close friends and family walking alongside me through every endeavor. As I developed my love for crochet, I faced a new, unfamiliar giant. I had to enter into this community by myself. I had to engage, dream, work, and find motivation alone. In the beginning it was difficult. I thought my passion was intended just for me and not to share with others.Through this experience, I met, Zohnette. Yes, that’s me, the fiber artist. I learned to “JUST BE!” This is the roadmap of my walk. Be intentional, be fearless, be ready to live life as Zohnette and commit to represent her well.
